Workshop for Postgraduate Students: Graduate on Time (GOT) and Effective Thesis Writing
USM, 24 Mac 2018 - The Centre for Instructional Technology & Multimedia has successfully organised a workshop for postgraduate students, on 24th March. 30 postgraduate students have participated in the event. The event was opened and officiated by Dr Mariam Mohamad, the Deputy Director (Postgraduate, Network and Alumni) who was also the program coordinator of the workshop. It was also attended by other academic staffs.
Two distinguished speakers have been invited, the famous research skills expert, Dr Othman Talib from Universiti Putra Malaysia and the global academic expert, Dr Mohd Rozi Ismail from Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia. Dr Othman Talib shared his knowledge and skills on Effective Thesis Writing, by delivering his well-known techniques of thesis writing including the use of Mendeley Reference Manager. On the other hand, Dr Mohd Rozi Ismail shared his inspiring experience of gaining success from East and West educational system; Japan and United States as well as juggling his responsibility as a Phd student, family, activities on campus, business but still managed to Graduate on Time (GOT).
Overall, it was a weekend to remember for everyone in the Centre for Instructional Technology & Multimedia. This is parallel to the motto "Best Learning Experience" which is to ensure the well-being of the postgraduate students throughout their journey in USM.
